The Regulations incorporate the requiements of EN 206-1 and the complementary standard BS 8500. It is divided into nine parts plus appendices, which closely follows the structure and content of BS EN ISO 9001:2008:
Parts 1 - 3 set out the scope of the Regulations, the normative references and terms and definitions.
Part 4 details the general requirements for the company's quality management system, documentation and records
Part 5 deals with management commitment, quality policy, planning, responsibilities and management review.
Part 6 is concerned with the management of resources.
Part 7 is the principal part of the document dealing with product realization. It is sub-divided into six sections dealing with planning, order processing, concrete mix design, purchasing and control of constituent materials, production and supply, and calibration of plant weighing and volume measuring systems and concrete and materials test equipment.
Part 8 is concerned with the monitoring, measurement, analyses and improvement processes.
Part 9 contains supplementary regulations. These cover concrete supplied from mobile batching vehicles.
The administrative procedures for assessment and certification are set out in Appendix D.
