The QSRMC Regulations incorporate all the requirements of ISO 9001 and apply them specifically to the processes involved in the design, production and supply of ready mixed concrete.
The Regulations also build upon the requirements of European and National standards for concrete. In this way they provide an effective control of risk against non-conformity of the product. They are also a helpful and effective guide to producers on how to establish the systems which are required to ensure product conformity in the ready mixed concrete industry.
Following the revision of ISO 9001 in 2015 and the revisions to the European standard for Concrete, EN 206, and the complementary British standards BS 8500-1 and BS 8500-2 new versions of the Regulations were issued.
