To supply asphalt mixes for highway works producers are required to hold certification from a UKAS accredited certification body.
The certification standard for asphalt mixes is published as part of the series of sector scheme documents for quality management in highway construction. The sector scheme for the production of asphalt was prepared by representatives of the Quarry Products Association, the Highways Agency and the County Surveyors’ Society.
CPC Certification confirms that suppliers operate a quality management system complying with:
- ISO 9001:2000 and
- National Highway Sector Scheme 14 (NHSS 14) for the quality assurance of the production of asphalt mixes.
